The Artist, Celia Casper

My formal resume includes college; employment in social services; and disability activism and advocacy. At a crossroads in 1996, I revised a manual on 'How to Find a Personal Assistant', as a Vista Volunteer for
an Independent Living Center. Turning to work at home, I taught myself web design and started a home business.

Along the way, I've been making greeting cards and mandalas most of my adult life by hand. As my disability of muscular dystrophy has progressed, the computer has become a powerful tool of expression.

In 1978, I received the gift of a mandala calendar from one of my mentors, Jean Lindmark. I was immediately drawn to them at the time and fascinated with their consciousness. I find myself gravitating toward them increasingly in my spiritual journey.

With assistance I live in my own apartment with two katz. I enjoy visiting with friends, music, movies, writing, computing, creating cards, sitting in the sun, plants, lilacs, and readings related to Tao and Zen.
